As the early signs of spring begin to pull through in Bramhall and Cheadle Hulme, it’s time show your lawn that you really care again.  Yes, it’s probably been left to its own devices for months now.  So, looking forward, here are a few things to get you going:

  1. It’s time to make a start by clearing off any leaves, bits of twigs and other debris that may have embeded themselves into your saturated lawn.  Any dead leaves that lay on the lawn for any length of time would have created dead spots that you’ll probably need to over-seed, but not just yet.
  2. With the recent stong winds and saturated ground goodness knows what else has worked its way onto, or even into, the lawn.  So, time to clear the debris and give your lawn the first cut of the growing season, if you haven’t already done so.
  3. It’s time to consider an early spring moss control treatment to keep in check the winter’s moss invasion.
  4. There’s still time to scarify your lawn to remove the moss and thatch that’s built up on your lawn over the winter.
  5. Aeration would be great to get the warmer air in to the ground and get things moving.
  6. A spring fertiliser to help bring your lawn back into life with some fresh green growth and target any emerging weeds.
  7. Before the growing season is in full swing have your lawn mower serviced now, before everyone else gets in there first, or at least remove the blade and have it sharpened.
